A new WIP.

As I finished my Istitch Sew Advent SAL I had to choose another project to make it 10.
I had a hard time choosing as loads were screaming pick me, pick me.
I finally chose HAED SK Trick or Treat. This was a freebie sal on the Yuku board from 2013. Life was very tough for me that year and I couldnt stitch at all. It took me a year from 2013 to 2014 just to finish page 1. Hope to finish Page 2 this year I think.

A progress upto now. I am doing on 18ct Aida.

2015 1st Finish.

Finally I had a finish..My first for 2015..Better late than never!!

2014 Istitch Sew Advent SAL.
I have to finish this into something soon. This is a present for my mum's Patchwork teacher.
Hope she likes it.

January 5 2015 WIPocalypse.

This is my very first time writing like this. I am a bit nervous also.

Full moon came and went, elections came and went and I got late making a post for January WIPocalypse.

I was really busy as I had to attend a funeral out of Colombo and then family and we went sight seeing. Then I had some functions in mosque and then we chose our 6th President Maithripala Sirisena. I just hope he fulfills the peoples wishes.

This month's topic is

Introduce yourself, your projects and any goals you have for the year!!

Well I am really bad at introductions. Here is a little about me. My name is Fatema and I am from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I am in my early 30s and I live with my mum and my BFF Rila. I used to live with my grandparents ,but they passed away.
I have been stitching for a very long time now. I consider myself an intermediate stitcher. I still have my very first project. It was a belt for a dress. I also do patchwork and quilting.

My projects..Well I am taking part in the Turtle Trot. So I need 10 projects for that so I chose 10. I had decided to do with 8,but 10 it will be.

I am also doing Randje Per Week 2015 ( No I didnt do the 2014 one, but I have all the charts),Save The Stitches and 2014 Istitch Sew Advent SAL.

I only managed to start two projects upto now. The HAED and The  Mirabilia. I am concentrating more on finishing the Istitch SAL.

Here are the progress pictures :-

HAED QS Hearth Of Gold

Mirabilia

Here is the progress for the Istitch

My goals..well they are simple and sweet. To complete 15 projects this year..Why 15 if you ask? As we are in 2015..so to represent the number 15.

Well this is my first ever WIPocalypse post. I will try to do better in the future.

January YOTA

Ok I think 5 SALS were not enough for me. When I read this I realised UFO SAL AKA YOTA SAL is just for me.

YOTA stands for Year of the Acronym.

For my first YOTA project I have decided to choose HAED SK Trick and Treat. It was a freebie sal on the HAED bulletin board in 2013. I am doing it on 18ct. I am on the 2nd page. I

JANUARY HAP SAL

2015 I have decided to join in a few SALS. I saw many blog SALS, but I know I cant make justice to them all. I joined and left a few. Finally I chose 5 out of which this HAP SAL is one of them.

By now you all must be wondering what is this HAP SAL and what HAP stands for??

Well HAP stands for Huge A** Project. It is a made up acronym.

So for this project I decided another project out of the chosen 10. So right now I have 11 projects on the go.

I decided to do HAED's Old World Map  I had started this on December 1st 2014 for a FB SAL. I dont think I have done even 5% on it.
The finished size is 450 W by 376 H

The first picture is the design. The second picture is the progress upto January 1st.
