Question for June

Do you find yourself more productive with stitching in summer or winter?

Definitely winter. In summer the heat is soo bad my asthma is always at a bad stage. I cant stitch so much with all that coughing.
I get a lot done in winter with the lovely cool climate.

May 2015 WIPocalypse.

Late again with the May WIPocalypse update. Have been sick and the weather is not helping things. Its too warm here to stitch.

Lets see what I managed to do.

I had more progress on my EMS September Aster, but couldnt finish it.

I finished the EMS October Calendula though.

I started an Ink Circles freebie from 2007 April for  a SAL.

I started this small quickie Hearts by Gloria and Pat for a sal. I thought I would be over in less than an hour. Who knew it would take me a month to finish it!!

This is the Randje introduction.

I started this Blue Rose for the Mother's SAL.My mum loves the colour blue.

I also have started a new kind of embroidery called Totsuka. It is Japanese. Here is what it looks like. These are just the stitches.

More progress on HAED QS Hearth of Gold.

More progress on Heart Note Alley.

I started this Dimensions kit Geisha Beauty for a SAL.

This is the start of a SAL called BAP SAL.

I truly am taking part in too many SALS. Suddenly I find myself with less finishes and more new projects..sigh.

The question this time was :-

I would like to know if you look for LNS’s when you travel. What is the favorite shop you’ve ever found?

Yes I definitely do.  I have travelled a lot, but I found my favourite LNS are in Singapore. There are so many LNS there and the ladies are so wonderful. They have a lot of everything. You name it, they have it.

May Check In for 2015 Flower of the Month SAL.

May: Lily of the Valley
Lily of the valley has been associated with May for centuries. The flower has been used since the middle ages when they were popular in bridal bouquets to symbolise purity and modesty.
The naming of the plant referred not only to the flower’s tendency to grow in valleys but also to the Song of Solomon where we read the phrase “I am the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valley.”
The meaning of the May Birth Flower is Sweetness, Humility and Return of Happiness.

Here is May flower all done.
I am so glad to say after 6 years all my flowers are finished.
I cant wait to finish them into a finish.

April Check In for 2015 Flower of the Month SAL.

April: Sweet Pea
The flower of the month April is the Sweet Pea, which means good-bye or blissful pleasure. The sweet pea also has a hidden message too which is thank you for a lovely time. Sweet Peas are fragrant and have an old-fashioned charm! The original wild plant is purple in color, where as many cultivators have created other colors.
I am really late with my April check in. Here is April flower "Sweet Pea" finished.
